Path from Gares to Malga (Mountain Barn) Stia
This route starts from the small village of Gares near Canale d'Agordo. We park the park the car in the parking near the church and then follow the signals to Malga Stia. The park inside the forest . The trail within the forest is somewhat steep and monotonous but once you are on the forestal road it becomes quite easily and continue up to reach the meadows at the foot of the Cimon della Stia (mt 1785), where we find the hut.
White Springs Oasis
White Springs (Fontane Bianche) Oasi is based in Fontigo near Farra di Soligo and is located between the Piave River terrace and river bed. Here the water-bearings stratum coming from the Quartier del Piave plain comes out granting an abundance of the flow during all the year. To reach this place, at the round of Falzè di Piave take the street to Fontigo/Vidor and after 800mt turn left to the little plain street (there is a signboard) and after 1 minutes you arrive. There are two parkings: the first near the old mill and the other near the entry of the oasis (total of 20 cars). The round route of 2 hours is only for pedestrians and cross the riversite woodland between springs and ponds that create beautiful views.
Praglia Abbey
Praglia Abbey is a Benedictine monastery situated near the Euganean Hills (municipality of Teolo) at about 12 km from Padua. It has been founded between the XI and XII Centuries by the Abbot Iselberto dei Tadi that received the pontificial protecton by Callisto II. The actual complex has been rebuilded between the second half of the XV and the first half of the XVI century. Only the bell tower is part of the original installation. Inside beyond the unfailing and very evocative cloisters we find paints of the venetian artists Zelotti and Tessari.
Livelet Park
The Archeological Teaching Park of the Livelet is located near the glacial lakes of Revine and Lago. The reconstruction of the lake hamlet is based on a prehistoric series of findings in the locality of Colmaggiore (Tarzo) and in the isthmus between the two lakes just mentioned.
Asolo the town of hundred horizons
With this terms Giosué Carducci, one of the many artists that stayed in this evocative center, called Asolo and its fortress in the southern slopes of the Colli (Hills) Asolani. In this town there are many monuments and arts and is very difficult to create a route that allow to see everything. The route that I created, start at the feet of Asolo near the Supermarket Conad (Via/Street Schiavonesca Maoristicana); in front of the parking there is a sign to the footpath that in half an hour leads to the historical center of the city.
Beseno Castle
The largest fortified complex in Trentino Alto Adige, stands on the hill Beseno and occupies a strategic position dominating the valley of the River Adige between Rovereto and Trento, an important medieval trade route between the Germanic Empire and the Italian peninsula. To reach this place, we have to go to Calliano and then follow the signals to the Castle until the parking near the entry of the comples.
Sanctuary of Monte Berico
The Sanctuary of Monte Berico is the symbol of Vicenza and is located in the top of the hill in the south west of the city. Reach the Sanctuary from the the center is easy and during the route we can see beautiful views. The route tha I advise you start from Piazzale Fraccon in Vicenza (you can park your car in Via Antonio Giuriolo). A triumphal Palladian arch immediately captures our attention and acts as a "gateway" to "Le Scalette", a picturesque staircase of 192 steps. Exceeded the steps, we follow the path that leads us to the Sanctuary.
Palmanova: la città fortezza
Palmanova is a town in the province of Udine. It is situated in a strategical position in the center of Friuli and it is known for its è una città in provincia di Udine e si trova in una posizione centrale del Friuli Venezia Giulia, è conosciuta come città stellata per la sua polygonal-shaped star with 9 points (you can see it using google maps).
Its history starts in the XVI century when the area of Friuli was characterized by a series of boundaries patchy, where enclaves of Venetian rule were part of the Habsburg-controlled areas and vice versa. To protect its eastern border Venice decided to build this fortress (1593), that can show to the visitor the secular innovations in the science of fortifications.
Villa Pisani
Villa Pisani is maybe the most impressive example of a Venetian villa. The complex was built from 1720 in Stra (Venice province), along the Riviera del Brenta, by the noble Venetian family of the Pisani, to celebrate the election of its components Alvise ad Doge. The visit inside the rooms of the villa takes place in the noble floor where there are frescoes, paintings and original furniture.
