ALPE DI SIUSI (SEISER ALM)

THE PLATEAU

The immenser plateau of Europe (ben 52 kmq width an altitude of 1850mt) between Gardena Valley at the north, the massif of the Sciliar at south-east and the Mountain Group of Sassolungo at north-east. In this zone there is a great summer pasture, divided in many plots of ground from which the peasants gain hay for theirs cows.

OUR ROUTE

Our route start at the arrival of of the cableway on the Mount Seuc, from here take the path towards the Contrin Mountain barn (Malga Contrin) with a beautiful sight on the Sciliar; later take the path that go down to Hotel Icaro and then to Sanon Mountain barn (Malga Sanon), here you can decide to have a break or your lunch or if you want go to the forest to see many mountain wood huts, frequently they have outside a table and the benches in solid wood. Relax yourself in the ground of the Alpe di Siusi to gain again your forces...then stand up and go to Schgeguler Mountain barn (Malga Schgeguler) or to the Sport Sonne Hotel. Now to reach the top of the Mount Seuc and return to Ortisei you have two choices: take the chairlift that gain the top of the Mount Seuc or take the path...but it is too difficult.
