RASCIESA (RASCHOTZ)

ALPE DI RASCIESA

The Alpe Rasciesa makes part of the natural park Puez-Odle, it is situated at the north of Ortisei and it has a beautiful panorama on the Alpe di Siusi, the Odle Dolomiti, the Val Gardena and Isarco Valley.

OUR ROUTE

The route we propose without particular difficulty and allow you to cover all the Plateau. Take the chairlift Ortisei/Rasciesa that arrives to Rasciesa Restourant, then walk in the path towards the Shelter Rasciesa (Rifugio Rasciesa), currently in phase of restoration, and the Church of Saint Cross (Chiesa Santa Croce) . Arrived to the Church (the west border side of the plastea) climp up to the statue of the Christ on the top of the Mount "Rasciesa di Fuori". After a break take the path towards East that allow you to walk to the hight part of the plateau and conduct to the Mountain barn Saltner Cason (Malga Saltner Cason) with a good panorama on the Odle Dolomiti. Here you can have a good relax in the fields or eat directly in the mountain barn with typical tirol products. When you have restored yourselves take the path that conduct to the Rasciesa Restaurant and with the chairlift return to Ortisei.
